Share

ChurnZero’s employee spotlight series highlights the person behind the professional, digging deep and discovering what drives our team members. This spotlight features, Morgan Carson, Manager of Implementation at ChurnZero

Morgan is responsible for cultivating exceptional experiences and sustained value for our customers by acting as their guide throughout the onboarding process. She consults with customers on their goals and priorities and assists in implementing the ideal ChurnZero configuration to achieve those goals.

Let’s take a look at what Morgan had to share.

Q: What do you do for ChurnZero?

A: I started working at ChurnZero in 2019 and I now manage our growing Implementation team.

Q:What do you like about working at ChurnZero?

A: The teams are not siloed here, as I have experienced at my previous organizations. From Development to Sales, and Marketing to Customer Success, we actively know what all teams are working on, what their goals are, and how we can support each other from our own department. It’s quite a unique structure that makes us successful from start to finish since we are all on the same page about putting the customer experience first. This is very rare to find at an organization, and we do a phenomenal job of it.

Q: What is one word that you would use to describe your team?

A: Meticulous.

Q: What’s the best thing you accomplished last year?

A: The Implementation team is only a little over 2 years old at ChurnZero and has grown from 1 to 8 people (and we’re hiring!). We’ve been working on becoming subject matter experts on our growing list of integrations available to our customers, as well as simplifying the process to make it as easy as possible for our customers. We have revamped the process a few different times, and we will continue to find the room for improvement and adjust as necessary.

Q: What was your first job?

A: Lifeguarding at my neighborhood pool. It was one of the best jobs I ever had. I got to work on my tan, read books on my break, and spend all day outside with the other lifeguards, who happened to be my best friends. Couldn’t beat it as a teenager!

Q: What do you like most about your career?

A: Every day is going to be different. Each customer I work with has completely different use cases and different platforms that we work to integrate ChurnZero with. I get to learn many facets of my customer’s business and creatively solve for getting that to translate into ChurnZero terms. It makes each day exciting to say the least.

Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

A: Garbage reality television (cough cough…The Bachelor).

Q: What books/podcasts/shows have you binged?

A: Darknet Diaries is a podcast about hackers and how they gain access to information/servers etc. It’s SO interesting.

Q: What’s your go-to karaoke song?

A: Midnight Train to Georgia by Gladys Knight and the Pips.

Q: What’s your remote work secret to success?

A: 30-minute walk every morning to replace my commute where I listen to a book on tape or podcast to get the blood flowing.
